Arkville is a quiet little post along Route 28 where three rivers (the Dry Brook, Bushkill, and the East Branch of the Delaware) converge. Hikes, swimming holes, and skiing opportunities abound. The little hamlet lies between the two slightly larger villages of Fleischmann’s and Margaretville, which offer a broader range of restaurants and grocery stores, but has a breakfast and lunch joint that serves as our local greasy spoon, a distillery, a pizza restaurant, and the Delaware-Ulster train line for a slow, scenic mountain ride.
